Trying to get my Dad's old Webley Senior shooting again. It doesn't cock with the normal action, disasemble and take the spring out and the sear catches the cylinder just fine. Sear and cylinder show no signs of wear. I purchased a replacement spring from Chambers (180 mm) and still have the same problem. Hesitant to grind down the spring to make the cylinder travel that extra 1 mm to make the sear engage. The pistol used to cock, don't understand why the cylinder travel is now limited. Any advice woud be greatly appreciated.
