Xocet power Empty
PostSubject: Xocet power   Xocet power I_icon_minitimeSun Mar 31, 2013 8:43 am

Hi all , new to this so may have posted this somewhere else.

I have bought an Exocet .22 that's pretty much new but having chronoed it I am alarmed to find that it comes in at 12.67 lbs using 15 grain marksman pointed

Is there anything I can do to reduce the power to inside 12 as I have to be legal

Thanks

Hi Harley234.

Had this problem with another springer, told by the seller of the tuning kit to add Molybdenum grease to the spring.

I though this was bs but tried it and it reduced the muzzle energy by 3ftLbs

Initial re assembly was with 3 teaspoons of grease, cleaned two thirds of this off and now have a more damped spring action and consistent results at legal power levels. It seems a teaspoon of grease = one ftLb.

Good luck, and I would test it once in a while
